Welcome to the website of St James the Great, Birstall and Our Lady and St Nicholas, Wanlip.
If you are new to the area, welcome to this parish.
We are the Anglican Churches in the area and serve the people of Birstall and Wanlip alongside our fellow Christians, the Methodists and the Roman Catholics, confessing together our faith in God through his son Jesus Christ.
Our vision is to be:
An open Christian community where people feel loved, respected and free to be fully themselves!
We do hope that you find this website useful. We would love to hear from you.
We look forward to your joining us for a service or an activity or a group where you will be made very welcome. If we can make your visit any easier for you, please let us know.

Our PCC has adopted the House of Bishops’ ‘Promoting a Safer Church; safeguarding policy statement’.
If you have any needs, please let us know when you come or contact us beforehand if you want to check first. The building is accessible and we have an accessible toilet. We also have gluten free wafers if needed – please let us know when you arrive.
